KIMPTON PARISH COUNCIL
The District Council has a responsibility to identify sufficient land to meet needs and targets for different land use, including housing, industry and community facilities. This is done in a document called Land Allocations, and is part of the Local Development Framework.
A consultation exercise was undertaken in 2008 whereby potential areas for new development were publicised and the public and interested groups invited to comment. Kimpton Parish Council considered the suggested areas for new developments within Kimpton Parish, agreeing to potential developments in two of the three suggested areas.
In July 2009 a new document was published by NHDC for consultation. This includes additional areas for potential development within the Parish over and above those previously publicised. To view relevant pages of the document, CLICK HERE.
Of these, areas of potential development within Kimpton especially would have a significant impact on the village.
This will be discussed at the next meeting of the Kimpton Parish Council:
Wednesday 9 September
7.30pm
A formal response to these proposals will be sent from the Parish Council following this meeting.
Individuals may wish to forward their own views direct to NHDC. Please fill in the attached FORM or follow alternative instructions in the above document.
Anyone forwarding individual replies is invited to forward a copy to Kimpton Parish Council for consideration at the above meeting.
